Royal York Road Reconstruction (New)

Royal York Road, The Final Section

By: Paul Badics

KPRI Director of Traffic

The Kingsway Ratepayers directors SUPPORT the proposal to make the fast and ugly section between Usher and Humbertown Plaza, safe and beautiful once again.

Although the KPRI was instrumental in arranging a compromise of 9.1 meters width for the redesign of Royal York Road from Mimico

Creek to Usher Avenue, public input is still required to determine to final design of the section from Usher to Humbertown Plaza, scheduled for reconstruction in the Spring of 2006.

Area residents including those who live on Royal York Road believe the only way to reduce excessive speeds and beautify the road blight in the district is to fix the mistakes of the past by reducing 4 to 6 lane sections down to 2 lanes. This can be accomplished in the following ways:                                                                              See page 2
